Once Upon a Plastic Bag,

an Anti-Plastic Bag Campaign in Kyrgyzstan

Through garbage bin street art and a plastic bag clean-up initiative called "Once Upon a Plastic Bag," I wanted to encourage people to seek a clean and comfortable country for their children. I wanted to raise awareness about the rampant garbage problem in Kyrgyzstan.

As part of "Once Upon a Plastc Bag" initiative, I made a Trash Can Project, researched and interviewed municipal authoritites, took a series of photographs around the country, and held an exhibition at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
